This Thursday (4) in your ANBA Bulletin: Egypt’s olive sales to Brazil were up 210% year-to-date through April. The product’s import fee went down due to the Egypt-Mercosur free trade agreement. And a story by Thais Sousa on Brazilian goat and sheep meat production. Since last March, these meats are exportable to Kuwait, and other Arab countries have expressed interest in buying them, which drives the industry to get ready to export. Gulf Arab country Bahrain eased its imports in April, still Brazil was its third biggest international supplier. And Egypt has allowed hotels that already have hygiene safety certificates to increase their occupancy cap from 25% to 50% as of next week. Next July, volume four of ‘The Arab of the Future 4: A Graphic Memoir of a Childhood in the Middle East (1987-1992)’ is due out in Brazil.
