Global demand for honey up during pandemic

This Monday (22) in your ANBA Bulletin: Honey exports from Brazil climbed. The increased demand for natural healthy foods due to the COVID-19 pandemic made sales grow by 52% last year, the Brazilian Association of Honey Exporters (Abemel) reported. The Arab countries are major honey importers but don’t buy it from Brazil.

The United Arab Emirates’ HOPE Consortium is hosting the World Immunization & Logistics Summit, streaming on March 29 and 30 in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). The event will address cooperation and call on all parties to join logistical efforts to deliver COVID-19 vaccines around the world.

And the UAE and Brazil discussed the high cost of animal feed. The ABCC and the UAE’s Ministry of Economy hosted an online meeting of public entities and private sector players in both countries to discuss the topic.
