Brazil waives import tariffs on ethanol, six food products

Until the end of this year, imported ethanol and six food products will be exempt from tariffs to enter the Brazilian market. The sector’s international sales have upturned from the impact of the pandemic, with a 19% growth over January and February 2019.

Revenue in Brazil’s tourism sector rose 23% in January

The revenue of Brazilian companies in the tourism sector reached BRL 15.3 billion (USD 3.1 billion) in January, 22.9% more than in the same month of 2021. Compared to January 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic, the result was 19.2% lower. The data, released on Tuesday (22), are from the Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP).
