Influx of Arab immigrants to Brazil remains constant

This Thursday (25), the Arab Community Day, in your ANBA Bulletin: A special report on the Arab immigration to Brazil. Experts say the arrivals go through moments of smaller and larger influxes but have never stopped since the late 19th century. They are related to exoduses ushered in by local instabilities and conflicts as well as the presence of descendants in Brazil and government initiatives.

On March 25 at 7 pm (BRT), the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) hosts an online event on Brazil’s Arab community. In addition to talks with leading figures at the entity and guests, the event will show video testimonials of people that are part of the colony or have been influenced by it.

And check out how the COVID-19 vaccination is going in the Arab countries, where Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are leading the race, and a poetry and film festival will screen works by Palestine’s Annemarie Jacir and the UAE’s Nujoom Al-Ghanem.
