This Monday (25) in your ANBA Bulletin: The agency has revamped its website and launched it as part of the celebrations of the Brazilian Arab Community Day. With more visibility for both news and ads, ANBA now provides a better mobile browsing and is in tandem with the visual identity of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), which it is part of. Denise Jafet, chairwoman of the Ladies Deliberative Council of São Paulo’s Hospital Sírio-Libanês, gave an interview to ANBA. The Arab-women founded healthcare facility has had its establishment, administration and success associated with women’s leadership. A Saudi-based startup has brought innovations to farming. Following years of studies and research, Brazilian engineer Adair Gallo Jr. founded Terraxy with Indian Professor Himanshu Mishra. The company has developed innovations that help the desert soil retain water and nutrients.

Women’s committee holds event on female leadership

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) holds on Tuesday (26) from 9:30am to 11am the WAHI Committee – Saudi Arabia Mission seminar in its headquarters in São Paulo. The meeting will feature executives from the institution and businesswomen invited to share experiences on Arab countries, their receptiveness to women, and opportunities waiting for women leaders. Registration is free.

Brazil-Arab News Agency launches revamped website

The Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) launches on Monday (25) a revamped version of its website. Developed for a better browsing, particularly on mobile, and in tandem with the visual identity of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), which it is part of, the new ANBA also brings more exposure to its news content and a privileged space for advertisers. Launch occurs on March 25, the Brazilian Day of the Arab Community, as part of its celebrations.

Denise Jafet: Business and philanthropic vision

The firm handshake and easy smile reveal the determination, confidence and kindness of Denise Jafet, who has since 2021 chaired the Ladies Deliberative Council of the of the Hospital Sírio-Libanês, an institution that has had 350 members for 25 years and runs the hospital for over one hundred. “The female leadership is part of our history. Long before people started speaking of inclusion and gender equity, we were practicing these concepts here,” says Denise Jafet in an interview with ANBA to celebrate the Brazilian Arab Community Day.

Brazilian, Indian run innovative Saudi-based agtech

Creating two innovative products for Saudi Arabia’s soil took years of research for Matelândia, Brazil-born chemical engineer Adair Gallo Jr., 32. The project he developed in partnership with the supervising professor in his Master’s and PhD studies in Saudi Arabia, Indian engineer Himanshu Mishra, resulted in Terraxy, a startup that sells a biocoal capable of delivering nutrient to soil and a special sand that helps retain water into the soil and prevents it from evaporating in the dry desert climate. The company has expanded to the point of increasing its CarboSoil biocoal output twentyfold.

Brazil’s exports of beauty products jump by 7.7%

Brazilian exports of cosmetic, toiletry and perfumery products increased by 7.7% in the first two months of this years compared to the same period in 2023, grossing USD 133.5 million. The data made public on Thursday (21) by Brazilian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Industry Association (Abihpec) that highlighted a solid growth despite the challenges.
