Arab immigration celebrated in museum in São Paulo
This Monday (28) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Day of the Arab Community in Brazil was celebrated on March 25. Last Saturday (26) the Immigration Museum in São Paulo held in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) an event featuring the presentation of information on the Arab immigration in Brazil, the launch of the access to the first results of the Digitization Project of the Memory of Arab Immigration in Brazil, and the screening of short films. The Digitization Project of the Memory of Arab Immigration in Brazil has made available the access to 100,000 digitized pieces, including pictures and journal pages made by the Arab immigrants. They are part of a Latin American collection. The project is carried out by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in Lebanon in partnership with the ABCC in Brazil. Egypt is getting prepared to host COP27, the 2022 United Climate Change Conference, to take place in Sharm el-Sheik. An article signed by Vinícius Luiz, head of Innovation of Brazil-based company Orbital, points out how the metaverse can be used to deepen commercial ties between Brazil and the Arab countries.

Getting this information directly from these immigrants is now possible thanks to a project carried out by Lebanon’s Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) that has partnered up with Brazil’s Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).

On Saturday (26) the Immigration Museum in São Paulo was the venue for Arab descendants to look back at the stories of their ancestors. The museum held in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) an event celebrating the Day of the Arab Community in Brazil, whose official date is March 25.

Egypt works on preparations to host COP27

 | Egypt is racing against time to complete all preparations for the 27th United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP27, which will take place in November in Sharm El-Sheik, in the Arab country. This week, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting of the committee in charge of preparations and heard from ministers on the progress of the organization of the event.

Mosaic partners with Saudi company

The Brazilian Branch of the Mosaic Company expects to import 100,000 tonnes of phosphate from Saudi Arabia this year. The US-based company has agreements with two Saudi companies, the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) and the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

The Brazilian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Fernando Igreja, met on Friday (25) with a delegation of thirteen Brazilian businesspeople from different segments led by Patrícia Brazil and Nivea Heluey under the Nexum initiative aimed at fostering business between Brazil and the UAE. The meeting also featured the embassy’s deputy chief Leandro Vieira Silva. The group was welcomed by the head of the international office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in Dubai, Rafael Solimeo, at the entity’s headquarters in the emirate.

The ambassador of Bahrain to Brasília, Bader Alhelaibi, received Brazilian first lady Michelle Bolsonaro and guests at his residence to watch the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix, which occurred last Sunday (20). Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, secretary of Culture Mario Frias, and other Brazilian government officials also attended the event.
