This Monday (6) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazil is exchanging research with Morocco. Brazil’s Fundação Dom Cabral, in partnership with Africa Business School, will carry out a survey on the internationalization of Moroccan companies. The survey will start on March 7 and be presented in the second half of the year. The Flora Group got halal certified. The company’s Pérola pineapple concentrate juice has been certified and exported to over 20 countries across nearly every continent. The company wants to expand its share in the Middle East. Brazil’s Agriculture Ministry has confirmed that the case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in Brazil is atypical. Jordan is one of the countries that slapped a ban on beef from Brazil.

Palestine embassy received Rio Grande do Sul delegation

The Embassy of Palestine in Brazil received the visit of a delegation from the state of Rio Grande do Sul this Thursday (2) in Brasília. Ambassador Ibrahim Alzeben and other ambassadors from Arab countries welcomed the Rio Grande do Sul mission, which included mayors and representatives of entities and the state government.

Pineapple juice from Brazil gets halal certified

The Flora Group, which specializes in producing pineapple juice concentrate, got the halal certification for its plant based in Floresta do Araguaia, Pará. Founded by Italians in Brazil in 1998, the company was already born with an emphasis on exporting and ships 90% of its output to over 20 countries, particularly across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Mad cow case in Brazil dubbed atypical

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) confirmed this Thursday (2) the case of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) reported in the country is atypical. As a result, the Brazilian government has been taking measures to ensure beef exports to countries that banned purchases are reinstated. China, Jordan, Thailand, and Iran temporarily halted purchases from Brazil, and Russia did the same with beef processed in Pará, the state where the case of BSE, popularly known as “mad cow disease,” was reported.

Brazilian business school exports research to Morocco

To contribute to developing countries and spread knowledge to other regions, the Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC) will survey Moroccan companies’ internationalization in partnership with the Africa Business School (ABS). ABS is the business school of Mohammed VI University and is located in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. FDC is considered the best business school in Latin America by the Financial Times and is based in Nova Lima, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

Brazil’s CNA to hold online B2Bs with Emirati buyers

The Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) will hold, from March 13 to 17, an online B2B between Brazilian exporters of specialty coffee, fruits, and byproducts and Emirati buyers. Over 30 Brazilian companies will participate in scheduled dates and times.
