This Monday (15) in your ANBA Bulletin: Arab companies participate in supermarket fair APAS Show that’s taking place this week in São Paulo. It’s the biggest space the Arab countries have ever occupied in the show at 214 square meters. Twenty-seven firms will be exhibitors in the booths organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). The Brazil-Bahrain Parliamentary Group was established and had its first meeting in Brazil’s Federal Senate in Brasília, featuring ambassador Bader Abbas Alhelaibi. Senator Nelsinho Trad was elected president of the group. And the musical adaptation of a book by Khalil Gibran is back in São Paulo. Play “O profeta” is a philosophical adaptation of The prophet by the renowned Lebanese author, and it's starred by musician Sami Bordokan. Performances will take place in Teatro B32 until June 11.

Emirates Airlines creates USD 200 mn sustainability fund

Emirates, the Dubai-based airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced this Friday (12) it would commit USD 200 million to finance research and development projects to reduce the impact of fossil fuels used by commercial aviation. The amount will be disbursed over three years, and the work will be carried out through partnerships with major organizations operating in advanced fuel and energy technologies.

Arab brands to have bigger space at APAS Show in Brazil

The supermarket sector APAS Show will open next Monday (15) at Expo Center Norte in the city of São Paulo, with the largest space ever assembled for Arab companies. With 214 square meters and in three different pavilions, White, Blue, and Yellow, their participation is organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). A total of 27 companies will exhibit at the spaces.

Musical based on Khalil Gibran’s book back in São Paulo

Musical adaptation O profeta, based on Lebanon’s Khalil Gibran’s book, is back in the city of São Paulo. Performances started on May 11 and run until June 11, from Wednesdays to Sundays, in Teatro B32, in the district of Itaim Bibi, at 8 pm, except on Sundays, when they start at 5 pm.

Brazil's Senate establishes Parliamentary Group with Bahrain

The Brazil-Bahrain Parliamentary Group, created last year, had its installation and first meeting this Wednesday (10), at the Brazilian Federal Senate, in Brasília, with the presence of the ambassador of Bahrain to Brazil, Bader Abbas Alhelaibi.

Brazil’s farm output to grow 15%

The production of cereals, legumes and oilseeds in Brazil is expected to reach 302.1 million tonnes by the end of 2023, up 39 million tonnes – 14.8% — from last year’s 263.2 million tonnes.
