This Thursday (27) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will host in late June a series of B2Bs for Arab exporters to present their food and beverage products to the Brazilian market. Registration is open for Arab sellers and Brazilian retailers and distributors interested in buying. Registration is open for foreign students that want to pursue a degree in Brazil through the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G). Young citizens from 68 nations, including six Arabs, can participate. And check out the economic perspectives for Egypt. The IMF released USD 1.6 billion to the Arab country and estimates that its gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 2.8% in the current fiscal year and 5.2% in the next.

Students from six Arab countries can apply for free undergraduate courses in Brazil in 2022. Registration is open for the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G), which allows foreigners from nations with which Brazil has cooperation, preferably developing countries, to study at universities in the country. Citizens of 68 nations in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, Oceania, and Europe can apply, including Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, and Tunisia.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced on Tuesday (25) the release of USD 1.6 billion in loans to Egypt and reaffirmed the country’s solid economic prospects. According to the organization, the Egyptian economy is expected to grow by 2.8% in the 2020/2021 fiscal year, ending in June, and by 5.2% in the following fiscal year, 2021/2022.

Arab companies interested in exporting food, beverages, and agricultural products to Brazil will have the opportunity to negotiate virtually with distributors and retailers in a month. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will hold an online B2B for the segment from June 28 to July 1. Registration is open for Arabs who want to present their products. Brazilians interested in participating as buyers can also enroll.

Brazil posted a record-high current account surplus at USD 5.663 billion, the Brazilian Central Bank said on Wednesday (26). A year ago, the surplus had reached USD 199 million. The result was mainly driven by the record-high performance of the trade balance, which posted a USD 9.145 billion surplus in April.
