This Friday (29) in your ANBA Bulletin: the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is creating a laboratory to foster projects by startup businesses involving Brazil and the Arab countries. The news was made public during a webinar on digital transformation hosted by the organization. Registrations for the lab will open soon.
During the webinar, Egyptian startup company Robusta’s CEO Hussein Mohieldin discussed how digital transformation, fast-tracked by the Covid-19 pandemic, impacted the behavior of Arab shoppers. Scientist and professor Silvio Meira, a go-to source on innovation in Brazil, went over what it means to be a company with a digital business model.
And several Arab countries are reopening their economies. In Dubai, gyms, movie theaters and education centers are going back into business. Saudi Arabia will allow mosques to open on Fridays. Kuwait is also loosening its lockdown.

São Paulo – The government of Kuwait announced this Monday (25) that the curfew currently in place will only last until May 30, countering expectations of an extension. The state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that deputy prime minister Anas Al-Saleh chose to reopen the economy instead.
