This Monday (29) in your ANBA Bulletin: A collection of materials of the Duailibi family was launched in the library of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo. It includes maps, books and other records of the Middle East and the family’s history that were donated by advertising executive Roberto Duailibi. Jordanian firms want lower customs tariffs to export to Brazil. A brand from the Arab country participated in supermarket fair APAS Show earlier this month in São Paulo. The Make it in the Emirates Forum takes place later this week in Abu Dhabi, fostering the establishment of industrial plants in the United Arab Emirates. Brazilians are expected to attend.

Beyond coffee: Players bet on diversified caffeine market

Coffee simply as a hot drink is no longer a limitation for sector players from different countries. They believe Brazil needs to diversify its market and see the potential of other products that use coffee or caffeine as a differential. The discussions took place this Friday (26) at the Coffee Dinner & Summit in São Paulo, organized by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé).

Forum in UAE to discuss local manufacturing

The United Arab Emirates wants to boost its industry in sectors such as energy, aviation, telecommunication, healthcare, and food and beverages. The Make it in the Emirates Forum is a forum on the topic that’ll take place in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (31) and Thursday (1), said the Consulate General of the UAE in São Paulo in a bid to attract Brazilians to attend.

Jordanian companies want lower tariffs to sell to Brazil

The Jordanian Chamber of Industry (JCI) is drafting a memorandum to explain the need to reduce customs tariffs on Jordanian exports to Brazil to facilitate trade between the two countries. The information was disclosed to ANBA by Ahmad Adnan Al-Khudari, a Board member of the JCI, the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), and Jordan Exports (JE).

Rare books and maps: Duailibi collection opens

A collection featuring books and maps from the Middle East was launched on Thursday (25). The content gathers over 1,000 items and was collected over a lifetime by Roberto Duailibi and donated to the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). The renowned advertising executive is a Lebanese descendant and included in the collection pictures, documents and audio records telling the story of his own family.

Ice cream brand features native ingredients of Rondônia

Rondônia-based ice cream brand Sabor Beradeiro uses natural ingredients and features native flavors of North Brazil like tapioca, açaí, cocoa, e Brazilian nuts. The firm has a stand at the Rondônia Rural Show in the pavilion of the state’s Secretariat for Economic Development (SEDEC). The brand’s representative Ana Carolina Struthos de Lima told ANBA the artisanal ice creams are free from colorants, hydrogenated fats and white sugar, and they are sold in biodegradable packaging.
