Strike affects exports to Arabs

Read on the ANBA Bulletin all about the impact of the truckers' strike on Brazil's exports to the Arab countries. The Arab Chamber has been working to inform its Arab partners on the topic and lessen the impacts on the supply to the region.

Brazilian footwear industries have chosen Saudi Arabia as one of the target markets of the sector's exports promotion program Brazilian Footwear during the 2019-2020 term.

Brazilian companies taking part in the Brazilian Footwear program have chosen Saudi Arabia as one of the destinations to promote their products in 2019 and 2020. Brazilian Footwear is organized by the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association (Abicalçados) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and aims to internationalize Brazilian brands.

  José Farhat leaves legacy of work for Arab peoples

São Paulo – The Lebanese-descendant entrepreneur and political scientist José Farhat left behind a legacy of spreading knowledge about the history of Arab peoples, championing their causes, and working for Brazilian-Arab trade.

Farhat, a former Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce board member and president of the Institute of Arab Culture (ICArabe), passed away last Saturday (26) at 91 years of age.
