Vaccination fast-tracks economic upturn in Arab world

This Thursday (6) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Arab economies are now recovering after the COVID-19 vaccination has started. In a webinar of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) EuroMoney Country Risk expert Helmi Hamdi said the implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures, aid policies and vaccination has kept the Gulf economies resilient, and they are recovering faster than expected.

In the same online event, export companies discussed how they are perceiving the Arab markets now. In countries where vaccination has made a good progress, small retails started investing and buying again in recent months, which has meant an opportunity for companies such as Brazil’s Bauducco.

And international maize prices are on the rise, and the Arab countries have gained ground in purchases of the commodity from Brazil. Exports to the region climbed 132% year to date through March.
