This Monday (8) in your ANBA Bulletin: In June, the Easy Trade system will start being used in the trade with Egypt via the Alexandria Port. Easy Trade is part of the Ellos platform, launched by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to take the entire export process to the electronic universe. Brazil’s National Congress has passed the Cooperation and Facilitation Investment Agreement (CFIA) that was signed between Brazil and the United Arab Emirates in 2019. The document will now go the Presidency to be signed into law. Registration is open for Brazilian halal certifiers interested in being accredited for the Halal Brazil project. Accredited certifiers will be able to compete to provide services in the food and beverage industries supported by the project.

Art sale proceeds to be donated to social actions in Sudan

Brazil’s exports to Egypt will use Easy Trade platform

Exports from Brazil to the Port of Alexandria, in Egypt, will go through the Easy Trade platform starting in June. The decision is part of an agreement signed between the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Egyptian Customs authority this Thursday (4).

Brazil to attend G7 meeting as guest

Brazil will attend the meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) later this month in Japan as a guest. The forum consists of the world’s seven major industrialized countries — France, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada, and Brazil is one of the nations invited that are not part of G7.

Brazil’s Congress approves agreement with UAE

Brazil’s National Congress approved on Thursday (4) the Cooperation and Facilitation Investment Agreement (CFIA) between Brazil and the United Arab Emirates. It was signed in 2019 but still had to be appreciated by the Congress and will now go to Brazil’s president to sign it into law.

Foreign investments post 15.2% increase in Tunisia

The flow of international investments posted a year-on-year increase of 15.2% in Tunisia in the first quarter of 2023, to DT 686.4 million (USD 224.8 million), the TAP state news agency reported on Wednesday (3) based on data from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA). Out of these, DT 652.9 million (USD 213.8 million) were foreign direct investment (FDI), up 10.2% in Q1 from a year earlier.

Halal Brazil project registering certifiers

Registration is open for Brazilian halal certifiers interested in joining the list of certifiers accredited in the Halal Brazil project. The registration will serve as an expression of interest to provide the service of granting the first halal certification to food and beverage companies backed by the project. The information is contained in the public notice released on the topic.
