This Wednesday (9) in your ANBA Bulletin: the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce  and Egypt's Food Export Council (FEC) are hosting the Brazil-Egypt Business Meeting on Thursday (10) in the Arab Chamber's offices in São Paulo. There will be a seminar, food tasting sessions and business-to-business meetings involving Brazilian companies and 12 Egyptian enterprises, which are exhibiting their products in the pavilion organized by the Arab Chamber at the São Paulo Supermarkets Association Show (Apas Show). Find out how to join in this story from Bruna Garcia.

At the APAS Show, Arab exhibitors are having busy days. On Tuesday (8), FEC executive director Manar Nasr sat down with the mammoth Brazilian retail conglomerate Grupo Pão de Açúcar. “The Arab Chamber is providing amazing support in scheduling these meetings for us, and we expect to strike new deals here,” said Nasr. Sudan's Khalid Ombada, in turn, is looking to both sell his products in Brazil and import Brazilian-made goods to his country. “We are seeking new items to bring to Sudan,” he claimed. The UAE, Lebanon and Tunisia are also represented in the expo.

And this Wednesday will see journalist Jamil Chade, a correspondent for Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo in Geneva, Switzerland, release his book O Caminho de Abraão (The Path of Abraham). The book tells the story of Hagar, a daughter to Algerian immigrants in Marseille, France, who finds work with a multinational corporation in Syria and eventually finds herself in the midst  of war. To escape, she takes the mythical path set by prophet Abraham, who's worshipped by Muslims, Christians and Jews alike. Himself a third-generation Lebanese descendant, Chade spoke with ANBA's Isaura Daniel.
