This Tuesday (19) in your ANBA Bulletin: Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) launched new services for companies. The enterprise created Commercity, which helps companies develop an e-commerce, and Scality, to leverage startups businesses. DAFZA was visited earlier this week by a delegation of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). ABCC leaders were welcomed by Fujairah ruler Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to hold discussions on cooperation ties between the emirate and the institution. The ABCC delegation is in the United Arab Emirates for Expo 2020, and it has strengthened relations with different regions of the country. Morocco has saw a good economic performance due to the agricultural industry, and beef prices have soared in Egypt. And Ebury, a fintech that specializes in international payments and foreign exchange management, offers customized solutions for small- and medium-sized enterprises. |

Fujairah ruler receives Arab Brazilian Chamber president

The ruler of Fujairah, Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, received ambassador Osmar Chohfi, president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), and his accompanying delegation on Sunday (17) at Al Rumaila. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation ties between the emirate and ABCC, and Chohfi invited the emir to participate in the Economic Forum Brazil-Arab Countries to take place in São Paulo next year.

Morocco’s economy expected to grow 6.2% in 2021

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Morocco, an Arab country in North Africa, is expected to grow 6.2% in real terms this year, according to a projection updated by Bank Al-Maghrib, the Moroccan central bank, this week. The percentage means an upward revision of 0.9% relative to the previous estimate made in June this year.

Egypt’s annual inflation climbed month on month in September, rising for the fifth month running. The rate rose to 8% from 6.4% in August, data from the country’s statistics agency CAPMAS showed.

Egypt to join JP Morgan index in January

JP Morgan has announced that Egypt will officially join its bond index for emerging markets as of the end of January. Egypt’s Finance minister Mohamed Maait said this is a new certificate of confidence from foreign investors in the solidity of the Egyptian economy, particularly since 90% of the foreign investors surveyed supported the inclusion.
