Beef from Brazil supplies Egyptian group
This Thursday (20) in your ANBA Bulletin: Egypt’s Halwani Brothers imports approximately USD 60 million in beef a year from Brazil to process it in Egypt. The company also works with other foodstuffs like poultry, tahini, juices and jellies. A mission took Brazilian medical device companies to Egypt from October 16 to 19. They participated in 64 business meetings during the trip, which was led by ABIMO and ApexBrasil and supported by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). And São Paulo-based Marroquina Couscous has created couscous variations, Arab style. The brand has recently launched a delivery service.

Brazilian military personnel were awarded the United Nations (UN) medal at the Base Miguel de Cervantes, near Marjayoun, in Lebanon. The tribute ceremony acknowledged the contribution to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission and highlighted its importance for maintaining peace and security in the area.

Brazilian businesspeople in the medical equipment industry had over 60 meetings during a mission to Egypt that finished on Wednesday (19). The mission was led by the Brazilian Medical Device Manufacturers Association (ABIMO), through its sectoral project Brazilian Health Devices (BHD) carried out in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), and supported by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).

Saudi Arabia launched a national industry strategy aimed to increase the number of factories from 10,640 at present to 36,000 by 2035, Arab News reported on Wednesday (19) based on information from the country’s state news agency, SPA. Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman presented the plan.

Egypt’s leading meatpacking and food group Halwani Brothers imports approximately USD 60 million a year in frozen beef from Brazil. In an interview with ANBA, Halwani Brothers Egypt CEO Khaled Akl said the company aims to steadily increase its plant’s production capacity as they strongly believe in the promising future of the Egyptian market.

The State Forestry Institute of Minas Gerais (IEF-MG) launched on Tuesday (18) the public note for concession of two state parks: Ibitipoca in Santa Rita do Ibitipoca and Lima Duarte, and Itacolomi in Ouro Preto and Mariana. It is scheduled for December 21 at B3 in São Paulo.
