The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Egypt's Economic and Commercial Office in São Paulo will host the 2nd Brazil-Egypt Economic Forum: Business and Investment Opportunities on November 7. Egypt's Investment and International Cooperation minister Sahar Nasr and Suez Canal Authority chairman admiral Mohab Mamish will be in Brazil alongside a delegation of business executives. The event will take place at the Arab Chamber offices in São Paulo. Also in November, in the wake of the Forum, the Brazilian Foreign Ministry will hold a business mission to the North African country, led by FM Aloysio Nunes.
And this Monday (22) in your ANBA Bulletin you'll learn that two universities in Egypt – Aswan University, in Aswan, and Al-Azhar University, in Cairo – are accepting three Portuguese language professors between them. Registration is open until November 9.
And an anthology of Arabic translations of books by 12 Brazilian authors will be out next year. The writers featured are Milton Hatoum, Raduan Nassar, Maria Valeria Rezende, Marcelo Maluf, Ana Mirando, Youssef Miguel, Salim Miguel, Michel Sleiman, Marco Lucchesi, Luciana Savaget, Whisner Fraga and Socorro Acioli. The project is from online magazine Revista Pessoa, in partnership with Abu Dhabi's Kalima Project for Translation and the Arab Chamber.
