This Monday (4) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazil-UAE Amazon Economic Sustainability Forum was held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce on Sunday (3) in Dubai. Brazil’s vice president Hamilton Mourão was the guest of honor and said that Brazil-United Arab Emirates relation is resilient and was barely affected by the pandemic. UAE Economy minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al-Marri and Climate Change and Environment minister Mariam bint Mohammed Al Mheiri and other officials spoke, too. Brazilian author Socorro Acioli will hold a writing course in Dubai, and exhibit will show photos of Morocco in the subway of the city of São Paulo.

JBS Fund for Amazon plans on raising BRL 1 billion by 2030

Brazilian meatpacker JBS had committed to raise BRL 50 million (USD 9 million) for the JBS Fund for the Amazon in its first five years. The goal now is reaching BRL 1 billion (USD 186 million) by 2030. So said the president of the JBS Fund for the Amazon, Joanita Maestri Karoleski, who closed the Brazil-UAE: Amazon Economic Sustainability Forum on Sunday (3) in Dubai.

Brazil, UAE could grow together through innovation

Leaders of the private and public sector from Brazil and the United Arab Emirates have made it clear that they are willing to strengthen ties and that the increased use of innovation and technology ushered in by the COVID-19 pandemic can be an opportunity to do just that. “We can take this opportunity of innovation and technology to further our relation,” Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park CEO Hussein Al Mahmoudi said during the forum that brought together an audience from the two countries on Sunday (3) in Dubai.

São Paulo subway to hold exhibition on Morocco

Pictures from Morocco will be exhibited inside Brooklin Station of Line 5 (Lilac) of the São Paulo subway from this Saturday (2) until October 31. The exhibition “Morocco – A record of Arab-influenced culture” will have 20 photos portraying the multifaceted Moroccan culture through visual records of homes, food, and everyday scenes. The exhibition is promoted by ViaMobilidade, the concessionaire responsible for operating and maintaining the subway line.
