This Monday (13) in your ANBA Bulletin: A technical cooperation agreement was signed last week between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. The institutions undertook to a series of joint initiatives, including activities at the Expo 2020 Dubai starting in October. Poultry exports from Brazil to the United Arab Emirates stepped up by 50% in August. The country was the second biggest destination in the period. Another Arab country, Libya, was a highlight, too. And the Farmers Market will take place on Thursday (16) in Cairo and feature Brazilian typical foods such as coxinhas, brigadeiros and pão de queijo. The event is organized by the Brazilian community living in Egypt.

UAE’s poultry imports from Brazil up 50%

The United Arab Emirates stepped up by 50% its poultry imports from Brazil in August, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) reported. The Arab country was the second largest destination of the Brazilian product.

Farmers Market in Cairo will feature Brazilian foods

Brazilians living in Egypt will be able to quench their yearning for home flavors at the Farmers Market in Cairo’s Maadi district on September 16. Coxinha, brigadeiro and pão de queijo, among other dishes, will be on sale at the Market from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm EET. The Brazilian booth is organized by the Brazilian Community in Egypt [Comunidade Brasileira no Egito] (CBE) organization. It will feature three exhibitors; Conexão Gordice, with coxinhas and other snacks; Sweet Brazil, with brigadeiros, honey bread, and other pastries; and Mineirim, with pão de queijo.

Moroccan artisan crafts decoration items in Florianópolis

Moroccan artisan Abdelaziz Bahsain lives in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, since 2010. He is a plastic artist, paints canvases with Arab landscapes, and designs typical Moroccan furniture, such as chairs, benches, tables, and cabinets. Aziz uses demolition wood to create his hand-painted pieces.

Kuwait’s emir Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and crown prince Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have sent letters to Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro on the anniversary of Brazil’s Independence Day on September 7, the Embassy of Kuwait in Brasília reported.
