Egypt is the highlight of your ANBA Bulletin this Monday (24). Company Egyptian Export Center HB is planning to begin shipping dates to Brazil and other South American countries. Company executives are in São Paulo to talk business with over 20 local enterprises. “We hope to strike deals with markets, specialized stores and distributors throughout this week,” export manager Basma Al Banna (left on the picture at the top of this newsletter) told ANBA's Bruna Garcia while visiting the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Christine Lagarde said Egypt's economy is “showing strong signs of recovery.” “Economic growth [in the country] is one of the highest in the Middle East,” she said after a meeting in New York with Egypt's president Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
And the Ibero-American Film Week opens on Wednesday (26) in Cairo. Brazil will be represented with Boi Neon, a 2015 production slated to show on Saturday (29) at movie theater Zawya Cinema, in Egypt's capital.

Cairo to host Ibero-American Film Week
São Paulo – Feature films made in Ibero-American countries will be on show from Wednesday (26) to October 2 in the Ibero-American Film Week at movie theater Zawya, in Egypt’s capital Cairo. The Brazilian production Boi Neon will represent Brazil in the event.

Spending by Brazilians abroad down 21%
Brasília – Spending by Brazilians abroad totaled USD 1.382 billion in August, a decline of 20.8% over the same month of last year, according to data shown this Monday (24) by the Brazilian Central Bank (BC).
