Projects devised by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce to foster deal-making involving Brazilians in Middle East and North Africa countries are featured in your ANBA Bulletin this Wednesday (26).
The Chamber's president Rubens Hannun (left in the picture above) convened with Lebanon's minister of Economy and Trade Raed Khoury (center in the picture) in Beirut. The minister called on Hannun to arrange a mission of Brazilian executives to explore opportunities in World Bank-funded projects in the Arab country. A combined USD 11.8 billion in works are underway in Lebanon, including construction, water treatment, sanitation, energy, and oil and gas.
The Arab Chamber is joining tourism industry show Festuris from November 8 to 11 in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul. The organization will be at the event for the first time ever, in a bid to advertise the Arab world as a travel destination. “It’s a way to promote Arab countries as affordable travel destinations that are not widely known by Brazilians,” the Chamber’s CEO Michel Alaby said.
And Alaby delivered a lecture at the Federation of Industries of the State of Mato Grosso (Fiemt) in Cuiabá. About 40 executives attended the presentation on how to do business with Arab countries. “Most of them are interested [in the Arab market], since the state [of Mato Grosso] produces cereals and meats,” the executive remarked.
