This Monday (27) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Brazilian vice president goes on an official trip to Egypt. Hamilton Mourão boarded this Sunday (26) and will stay until Thursday (30) in the North African Arab country, where he will participate in the launch of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce’s office and will be received by the president of Egypt, Abdul Fattah Khalil Al-Sisi and other local authorities.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber will hold a sustainability forum in Dubai, on October 3, in a hybrid format. The event ‘Brazil – UAE: Amazon Economic Sustainability Forum’ will have vice president Mourão as a guest of honor, and registration is open.
New rules on the use of drones in Brazilian agriculture come into force; accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers intends to create jobs in Saudi Arabia, and Brazil waives tariffs on maize imports.

Arab Brazilian Chamber to hold sustainability forum in UAE

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will hold a forum on sustainability in Dubai on October 3 featuring Brazil’s vice president Hamilton Mourão and the United Arab Emirates’ Economy minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al-Marri. The hybrid event will take place at the Conrad Hotel and can be watched online. Registration is open to participate in person or remotely. The event is free of charge.

Hamilton Mourão faz visita oficial ao Egito

Brazil’s vice president Hamilton Mourão traveled on Sunday (26) to Egypt, where he is staying until Thursday (30) for an official visit. Among other activities, Mourão will attend the launching of the office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in Cairo on Wednesday (29). The institution already has an international office in Dubai, United Arab emirates, and will now have two foreign bases.

Brazil regulates use of drones in agriculture

Brazil has regulated the use of drones in the agribusiness. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) published on Friday (24) in the Federal Gazette an ordinance establishing rules for operating remotely piloted aircrafts (RPAs), or drones, in the application of pesticides and the like, adjuvants, fertilizers, inoculants, improvers and seeds.

PwC to create over 6,000 jobs with new HQ in Riyadh

Consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Middle East will build a new regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, hiring more than 6,000 staff in the region over the next five years, Saudi newspaper Arab News reported in its website following an interview with Riyadh Al Najjar, PwC Saudi Arabia senior leader.

Brazil suspends tax, facilitates maize imports

The Brazilian federal government suspended the collection of PIS and COFINS tariffs on maize imports until the end of this year (December 31, 2021) to facilitate the product’s entry into the country. The information was published this Thursday (23) by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA).

Brazil’s external accounts recorded positive balance

Brazil’s external accounts had a positive balance of USD 1.684 billion in August, informed this Friday (25) the Brazilian Central Bank (BC). In the same month of 2020, the surplus was USD 950 million in current transactions, which are purchases and sales of goods and services and income transfers with other countries. The result is the best for the month since 2006 when the external accounts had a surplus of USD 2.1 billion.
