Brazilians teach theater in Saudi Arabia
This Thursday (8) in your ANBA Bulletin: Oficina dos Menestréis, from the capital of São Paulo, has been developing activities in Saudi Arabia. The theater company’s team taught techniques to teachers of teenagers with disabilities from Saudi Arabia last year in the Arab country. Recently, the Saudis were also received for exchange in Brazil.
At the age of nine, Nicole Oliveira from the state of Alagoas is considered the youngest astronomer in the world and was awarded at the Global Child Prodigy Awards in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Read more on what Nicole said about the Gulf country.
Brazil’s beef exports to Egypt and poultry sales to the UAE have increased in the last month.

Egypt nearly doubled Brazilian beef imports from January to August this year, according to information released this Tuesday (6) by the Brazilian Meat Packers Association (Abrafrigo). The Arab country went from purchasing 41,300 tonnes in the first eight months of 2021 to 81,300 tonnes in the same period this year, up 96.8%.

The governments of Brazil and Bahrain carried out new rapprochement actions. In addition to a political consultation meeting, the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in the military area during a visit to Bahrain by ambassador Kenneth Félix Haczynski da Nóbrega, secretary for the Middle East, Europe, and Africa of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

São Paulo-based Oficina dos Menestréis, a musical theater company that gives open courses with its own methodology based on reflex and intuition, gave a workshop to teachers from Saudi Arabia in late 2021. The company created in 1993 by actors Deto Montenegro and Marco André Brandão de Magalhães was invited by entrepreneur Carolina Andraus to train 38 Arab male and female teachers that teach young people with disabilities.

Brazilian poultry protein exports to the United Arab Emirates grew 45% from January to August this year compared to the same period in 2021, according to figures released by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). The Arab country was one of the highlights in sales for the period. The UAE bought 319,000 tonnes of Brazilian poultry.

Brazilian Nicole Oliveira received the Global Child Prodigy Awards in the United Arab Emirates this year. Nicolinha, as she is nicknamed by her family and on her social media, was honored in the World Astronomy category. Born in Alagoas, she is only nine years old and already considered one of the youngest astronomers in the world.

Starting next year, Brazilian exporters will be able to purchase services such as transportation, insurance, handling, and cargo storage with a tax drawback. A law was enacted this Monday (5) establishing the drawback on service purchases, in addition to the existing benefit for products.

The challenges of financing climate-related projects were the topic of the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Forum on Financing Climate Action and Energy Transition held by the government of Egypt as part of preparations for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP27), to take place in November in the city of Sharm El-Sheik, in the Arab country.
