There is demand in the UAE for fruits from Brazil

This Thursday (25) in your ANBA Bulletin: Representatives of Brazil-based fruit companies are on a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates as part of Frutas do Brasil project. Abrafrutas Project manager Jorge de Souza told ANBA about the findings of the delegation regarding the demand for fruits in the Arab country.

The UAE pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, a world exhibition the country is hosting, covers a 15,000 built-up area with three levels and was built to reminisce a wing of the UAE national animal.

A camel beauty pageant is taking place in Abu Dhabi, bringing together animals from across the Gulf. The contest will give prizes worth USD 3 million.

Contest to crown most beautiful Arab camels

Razin Camel Beauty Pageant, a camel beauty contest, will begin this Thursday (25) as part of the 15th Al Dhafrah Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. The competition will feature 75 races with camels from across the Arabian Peninsula, according to local media. The contest will run until December 2, when the 50th anniversary of the independence of the United Arab Emirates will be celebrated, making part of the commemorations.

Brazilians finding demand for fruits in UAE

The Brazilian fruit industry delegation that is on a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates this week has found a significant demand for the product in the country. “Even though the market is quite segmented according to socioeconomic income levels, they all seem to enjoy the tropical fruits Brazil grows,” Brazilian Association of Exporting Producers of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas) Project manager Jorge de Souza, who’s in the UAE, told ANBA.

Petrobras has record LNG regasification

Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company, announced on November 4 it reached a record number of liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo transshipments between vessels in its regasification terminals. The figure, 104, is the total for the year. The company expects to reach 120 Ship-to-Ship (STS) transshipments by the end of 2021. According to Petrobras, the volume exceeds 103 from 2014, the year with the highest amount so far, and reflects the growth of LNG imports by the company this year.
