Jordan showcases diversity in religious tourism

This Monday (11) in your ANBA Bulletin: Jordan has made efforts to attract international tourists. The Jordan Tourism Board held a seminar in São Paulo last week and presented several possibilities of religious destinations in the country that go far beyond the Jordan River. The country aims to attract more Brazilians.

And the free zone Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) is conducting a mission to Brazil. DMCC executives are travelling through the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. On Tuesday (12), a seminar will be held in the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo. Registration is open.

Surging poultry prices decrease consumption in Egypt

Domestically produced and imported poultry protein prices have spiked in Egypt in the last two weeks. Specialists and Egyptian businesspeople linked to the sector believe the hike was due to higher prices for feed inputs on the global market and Ukraine’s struggles to remain in international trade due to the war with Russia. Ukraine is a producer and exporter of poultry.

IMF reaches agreement on USD 3 bn deal for Lebanon

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reached an agreement with the Lebanese authorities to provide financing support to help the Arab country emerge from its severe economic crisis. The agreed program, which is subject to IMF management and the Executive Board approval, provides access to a four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) of USD 3 billion.

Jordan showcased diversified potential for faith tourism

The Jordanian ambassador to Brasília, Maen Masadeh, and a team from the Jordan Tourism Board are in São Paulo to promote religious tourism to the country. In addition to the tour routes through the Jordan River, the executives showed there are many other possibilities for destinations in the country, which is mentioned several times in the Bible and has sacred sites for Catholics, Protestants, Jews, and Muslims.

Dubai’s free zone DMCC conducting mission to Brazil

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a free zone based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has kicked off on Thursday (7) a mission to Brazil that will include the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. The DMCC plans on showcasing the business opportunities in its country and prospecting firms that are mature enough to get established in the free zone.

Brazil’s cereal harvest expected to grow 5.4%

Cereal output in Brazil could reach 269.3 million tonnes in the 2021/22 harvest, a 5.4% increase compared to the previous. The projection was released this Thursday (7) by the Brazilian National Supply Company (CONAB). If confirmed, it will represent an expansion of 13.8 million tonnes compared to 2020/2021.
