Read on the ANBA Bulletin of this Wednesday (25) that wealth funds from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, have shown to be interested in Petrobras' assets. The director general of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Décio Oddone (pictured above), met with representatives of the sovereign fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (AD Council), the investment arm of the emirate's government. According to him, they are interested in the gas pipelines that will be privatized by the state-owned company. "The resume of activities regarding oil and gas investments is attracting the attention of the world’s investors," said Oddone to journalist Isaura Daniel.
In Brazil, 57 certifiers were accredited to issue preferential certificates of origin for Brazilian goods being sold to Egypt with tax breaks, as provided for in the Mercosur-Egypt free trade agreement. ANBA has the details on the procedures and provides a list of the certifiers for download.
Qatar's conducting a research on foreign communities living in the country, and has asked the help of Brazil's embassy in Doha to help find information on the first Brazilians that moved to the country. The research is part of a project on the history of the Gulf nation that will be presented on the opening day of the National Museum of Qatar in the 2019's second half.
