Read at this Monday (29) ANBA Bulletin that a delegation from the Saudi Arabian General Investment Agency is in Brazil to publicize opportunities in strategic sectors within the Arab country. The group paid a visit to the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and later this week they will attend meetings with corporations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. “Our job [at SAGIA] is to facilitate investment and the coming of international companies to Saudi Arabia. We are aware that there’s a gap between investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and Brazilian companies that wish to invest abroad. That’s why we’re here: to spread information to companies about these opportunities,” said SAGIA’s deputy governor for Investment Attraction and Development, Sultan Mofti, to the reporter Bruna Garcia.
Arab Brazilian Chamber International Relations vice president Osmar Chohfi welcomed the delegates and highlighted that Brazilian industries potentially interested in having operations in the Saudi Arabia include agribusiness, mining, iron and steel, and infrastructure.
Another highlight is the story by Thais Sousa about the works of Expo 2020, a world exhibition to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, starting in October next year. The emirate expects to end the construction of the main facilities 12 months in advance. The organizers estimate that the event will receive 25 million visitors, 70% of which foreigners. Brazil’s pavilion will be at the Sustainability area, one of the three large thematic axes, alongside Opportunity and Mobility.
And learn that the Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura will perform next Thursday in Dubai. This will be their third concert in the city.
