Startups earn a chance to go to Dubai

Your ANBA Bulletin this Thursday (4) brings news of a roadshow held at the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce this week that saw four Brazilian startups win prizes. During the event hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and ApexBrasil, 10 startups pitched innovative concepts in an attempt to win a slot at the Expand North Star expo due October in the UAE.

Brazilian International Relations students are interested in the Arab world. Undergraduates from the Mauá Institute of Technology visited the Arab Chamber offices earlier this week to learn more about the region.

Also featured in ANBA is a story on Talli, a traditional kind of embroidery throughout the Gulf region. The art is passed down through the generations, but disinterest among young people is now threatening its continuity.
