Morocco has higher demand for fish

This Thursday (17) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazilian fish exports to Morocco could grow, as per a study by the Brazilian agricultural attaché to Rabat, Nilson César Castanheira Guimarães. He points out the Arab country has increased the imports of frozen seafood, and there is potential for skipjack tuna sales. Brazil broke into the Moroccan fish market in early 2020.

The “Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain” was launched in Brasília on Wednesday (16). The document was formed by the king of the Arab country, Hamad bin Isa Ali Khalifa, based on the principles of peace, freedom and faith. A member of Bahrain’s royal family, Khalid bin Khalifa Alkhalifa, and Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro participated.

And some Arab countries are receiving the first batches of COVID-19 vaccines, while the UAE has already started vaccinations.

Bahrain launches initiative for peace in Brazil

On Wednesday (16) night in Brasília, the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a document formed by king Hamad bin Isa Ali Khalifa reinforcing the principles of peace, freedom and faith, was launched in the presence of Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro and a member of the royal family, Khalid bin Khalifa Alkhalifa. The president took the opportunity to announce the preparations for the opening of a Brazilian embassy in Manama, Bahrain.

Potential of seafood up with increasing demand from Morocco

Frozen fish is the sector with the greatest potential for seafood exports from Brazil to Morocco. So said the Brazilian agricultural attaché to Rabat, Nilson César Castanheira Guimarães, who sent ANBA a study where he points out the opportunities for Brazilian companies that would like to take advantage of the Moroccan market opening for fisheries from Brazil. The North African Arab country acknowledge the International Zoosanitary Certificate (CZI) Brazil presented to export the product last February.

Arabs start receiving batches of COVID-19 vaccines

The first shipment of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine arrived at the Cairo International Airport in Egypt last Friday (11) from the United Arab Emirates. In Egypt the vaccine will be free of charge. The Sinopharm vaccine has 86% efficacy against coronavirus according to clinical trials completed in Cairo. The UAE has already started vaccinations.

Importer sells Brazilian coffee in Dubai-based e-commerce

Nativo, a company that is focused on importing rare Brazilian goods, has included coffee in the portfolio it offers in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “We aim at bringing products that are rare to find around here. Thus, this bean we brought is not just produced but also roasted in Brazil,” Nativo business developer Luana Oliva told ANBA about what sets the Santo Agostinho brand apart.
