The expectation is bringing together 1,000 participants, including Arabs and Brazilians, and discuss where Brazil and the Arab countries can work together to meet the current needs and assure a leading role on the futrure world stage. And the latest news on Gulfood, a food and beverage show that runs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our reporter Bruna Garcia talked to exhibitors at the show and tells the story of the Egyptian companies that want to export dates to Brazil and the Arab company that produces coffee for Expo 2020, which will run in the emirate in October. And the calendar of trips that the Brazilian Toiletry, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry Association (Abihpec) and the Arab Chamber are preparing for companies of the sector to break into the Arab markets.

Such will be the rationale behind the Brazil & Arab Countries Economic Forum, which the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will host on April 14 in São Paulo. Over 1,000 Arabs and Brazilians are expected to attend.

UAE coffee brand an Expo 2020 licensee

Dubai – Emirati company Karam Coffee is a licensed coffee brand in Expo 2020, a multi-sectorial world exhibition to run for six months starting in October in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company has a stand (pictured above) in the beverage pavilion of Gulfood, a food trade show that runs in Dubai, and talked to ANBA about the Expo collectable products, the types of coffee and their history.

Egyptian companies wish to sell dates to Brazil

Dubai – Egyptian date exporters are looking into the Brazilian market. At Gulfood, the Middle East’s biggest food and beverage show, Egyptian Export Center HB and the Orient Group both said they’re interested in selling to Brazil. Egypt is the biggest date producing country in the world.

Cosmetics industry organizing missions to Arab countries

São Paulo – The Brazilian Toiletry, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry Association (Abihpec) hosted a workshop about the United Arab Emirates this Monday (17) in São Paulo, with support from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. Tips were given to Brazilian companies interested in doing business in the Gulf country, on topics including Market and Trends, Regulatory Aspects, Foreign Trade, Cultural Aspects, and the BeautyCare Brazil Project.

Egypt converting Tahrir Square into open-air museum

São Paulo – By the end of this month, Egypt’s Tahrir Square will have become an open-air museum. Al Ahram reported that the project is part of a strategy to bring more tourists to historic Cairo, especially since government offices will be relocated to the New Administrative Capital, whose construction is slated to start in June.

Brazilian businessman starts company in Dubai

Dubai – Brazilian entrepreneur Davi Sierra, new business director at Key Trade, has just started a company in Dubai. International Business Group, or IBG Trade, will be responsible for the clearance of the whole importing, stocking and selling process of Brazilian goods such as coffee, sugar, juice carton, ketchup, mustard, healthy sauces, and cosmetics to the United Arab Emirates and the Middle Eastern region as a whole.
