More and more foreign players are coming into Brazil's franchise sector. This Monday (18), your ANBA Bulletin features a story on why the country has become a natural investment destination. According to an industry specialist, opportunities are still available for Arabs.
The first Brazilian citizen has been vaccinated against the coronavirus. Anvisa, the federal health department, gave emergency clearance to two vaccines, and a schedule is now being rolled out at high speed.
Three Arab countries stepped up their imports of poultry from Brazil in 2020 from 2019, with overall poultry exports going up 0.4%.
And the Arab Code Week, which the Arab countries are hosting in a bid to popularize the teaching of programming to students and teachers across the Arab world, will feature an extended schedule of all-free activities and a Brazilian instructor. |

Brazilian health regulator Anvisa approved emergency use of CoronaVac and the Oxford vaccine in Brazil. The first is produced by São Paulo’s Butantan medical center that is partnered with China’s Sinovac, while the latter was developed by AstraZeneca and the Oxford University with federally funded Fiocruz institute.

Three Arab countries increased their poultry imports from Brazil in 2020 over 2019. One highlight was Egypt, at 58,700 tonnes, up 15% from the previous year. Yemen imported more, too, at 112,400 tonnes, up 6.1%, as well as Jordan at 56,800, up 18.9%.
