The ANBA Bulletin of this Monday (2), of Brazil 2 x 0 Mexico, reports that Brazil's Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) have registrations open for foreign students to take undergraduate courses in Brazil, for free, starting in 2019. The initiative accepts students from 60 countries, including the Arab countries of Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia. Among the universities offering openings via the program are some of Brazil's best, such as the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), the University of São Paulo (USP) and the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Read the details on a feature by Isaura Daniel.
Read also that begins this Tuesday (3) in São Paulo the Round of Meetings on Arab-Islamic History and Culture. The first two classes will be on Napoleon's invasion of Egypt. “This historical episode marks the foundation of geopolitics, which is among us until this day, in which nations attack strategically-located countries, near their ‘enemies’, to disorganize them economically and politically," said the classes' professor, Plínio Freire Gomes, to reporter Bruna Garcia.
And with Egypt still as a topic, professor Cintia Gama will give a lecture titled Women in Ancient Egyptian Society on July 21, in São Paulo. The lecture will show what were the possibilities in female social action in an ancient society.
