This Wednesday (14) in your ANBA Bulletin: check out our coverage of the 11th World Chambers Congress. Reporting from Rio, Bruna Garcia brings you all things Arab that happened during the event – and they were plenty. On Thursday (13), Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce president Rubens Hannun met with delegates from the Dubai, Sharjah, Qatar and Oman chambers. They agreed on having several business meetings this year and the next. “Arab participation is massive in this congress. It even amazes the non-Arab,” he said. The congress ends on Friday.
And Brazil's Environment minister Ricardo Salles had meetings with authorities and energy industry executives this week in the United Arab Emirates. Energy efficiency was at the top of the agenda. The minister said he's looking to replicate UAE initiatives involving technology-based management of natural resources. “These technology advances may be very useful to Brazil,” Salles told ANBA's Isaura Daniel in a one-on-one interview.
And three Brazilian student teams from schools in Rio de Janeiro, Paraná and Rio Grande do Norte are in Byblos, Lebanon for the First Lego League robotics competition this weekend. Thais Sousa will tell you all about it.
