Dubai discovers legacy of the Arab immigration to Brazil
This Thursday (31) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Arab immigration to Brazil was celebrated in an event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) at Expo 2020 on Sunday (27), the celebration brought together Arab and Brazilian officials, who discussed the migration ties between the regions. The Arabs got to know a new face of Brazil besides trade. Brazil’s Environment minister Joaquim Leite will address ABCC members on Friday (1). He will discuss the carbon credit market in a lectured aimed at engaging Brazil-based firms on the topic. And SEBRAE São Paulo is working on helping Brazilian farmers to find new fertilizer suppliers. The institution’s chairman, Tirso Meirelles, met with suppliers at the ABCC office in Dubai.

Qatar World Cup: 800,000 tickets already sold

Over 800,000 tickets have already been sold for the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Qatar in November and December this year. According to the International Football Federation (FIFA) information, the first sales phase has ended. Tickets for the opening match on November 21, and the final on December 18, were the most sought after.

The president of Sebrae-SP, Tirso Meirelles, had a meeting last week with exporters in the sector in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, and is in talks for them to visit Brazil. The meeting had the support of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) office in Dubai, where it took place.

Bahrain assesses sustainable pearl fishing practices

Bahrain has concluded the first phase of a study project to ensure sustainable pearl fishing practices, the Bahrain News Agency reported. The study by the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) suggests that there were no significant differences in the population density and abundance of the pearl oyster beds in the country between 2012 and 2021.

Dubai meets legacy of Arab immigration in Brazil

This Sunday (27), many Arab authorities and business people learned more about the ties uniting their nations to Brazil beyond trade. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) hosted the event “The Legacy of the Arab Immigration in Brazil” at the Expo 2020 Dubai restaurant in the United Arab Emirates. Speakers from both regions talked about the migratory links between the Arab countries and Brazil. The event celebrated the National Day of the Arab Community in Brazil on March 25.

Brazil to be independent in vaccine production in 2022

On Monday (28), the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovations, Marcos Pontes, said that the country will be independent in vaccine productions still this year. Pontes also announced that developing a third-generation mRNA vaccine against COVID-19 is already underway in Brazil.
