This Monday (28) in your ANBA Bulletin you’ll find out what’s new when it comes to Arab culture in Brazil and to Brazil-Middle East trade. Brazilian company Lagune Cosmetics is about to begin shipping product to Lebanon.
Sunday (3) in São Paulo will see the opening of the Immigrant Fest, featuring food and art by different ethnic groups. Arabs will be represented with folk dishes, workshops and dance and music performances.
And a movie tip: the Tunisian drama 'Hedi’ will premiere in Brazilian theaters on Thursday (31). On Tuesday (29), there will be a pre-release screening followed by a debate at São Paulo ’s Cine Caixa Belas Artes.

The Immigrant Fest will have its 23rd edition with attractions from over 50 countries, with cuisine, dance, handicraft and music of many communities, among them the Arabs. The event is organized by the Immigration Museum, a body of the Secretariat of Culture of the São Paulo State and is scheduled for June 3, 9 and 10, from 10 am to 6 pm (box office open until 5 pm), with tickets at BRL 5 (USD 1.42), half price, and BRL 10 (USD 2.83), full price.

São Paulo – The Tunisian film “Hedi” (88 minutes, 2016), written and directed by Mohamed Ben Attia, will open at Cine Caixa Belas Artes this Tuesday (29), at 8 pm. The screening will be followed by a debate with Salem Nasser, a Law professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and former president of the Institute of Arab Culture (ICArabe) and Luiz Zanin, movie critic of newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.
