This Wednesday (21) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce entered into an agreement with the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), which comprises organizations from Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The document was signed by ASCAME president Ahmed El Wakil (pictured, on the left) and Arab Chamber president Rubens Hannun (on the right), on the opening day of the 12th Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek) in Barcelona, Spain. The organizations will share information and work together to unite retail players and support one another. “This opens up a new relationship for our member companies,” said Hannun, who attended the MedaWeek launch.
And olive oil will be the subject of a workshop on Thursday (22) in São Paulo. Topics will include olive tree farming, olive harvest and milling and its health benefits. The event will be hosted by the Brazilian Association of Olive Oil Producers, Importers and Traders (Oliva), with backing from São Paulo’s Municipal Secretariat for Nature and the Environment (SVMA), marking the first-ever official celebration in the city of World Olive Day, November 24.
And Louvre Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, has completed its first anniversary. Since it opened on November 11, 2017, the museuem has welcomed over a million people. Forty percent of them were Emirati locals;the remainder were foreign visitors.
