Brazilian coffees on show in the UAE

This Monday (23) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Brazilian Coffee Week started last weekend to show the Brazilian coffee to the United Arab Emirates. Local companies that import the product from Brazil are exhibiting at the Dubai Coffee Museum and offering samplings. Visitors can also try other Brazilian foods.

Hosted by Saudi Arabia, the G20 Summit took place online last weekend. The G20 leaders ended the meeting by saying that enabling fair access to the COVID-19 vaccine is one of their priorities. Sustainability was a key issue as well.

In his talk in G20, the Saudi Arabian king stressed the G20's role in researching for vaccines and striving for the world’s post-pandemic economic recovery. Brazil’s president also addressed the summit and asked for the World Trade Organization (WTO) reform, among other matters.

And a special report on Brazilian cocoa and how chocolate brands are sourcing cocoa straight from farmers to ensure product quality. Some companies even handle everything from growing the fruit to processing the chocolate.

Brazilian premium chocolate brands are sourcing cocoa straight from farmers to ensure product quality. The trend is known as ‘bean-to-bar,’ or even ‘tree-to-bar’ – which goes even further, with brands that handle everything from growing the fruit to processing the chocolate. Growers in the three main coffee-farming states – Bahia, Pará and Espírito Santo – are also pulling together to secure Geographical Indications (GI) for their regions, a label that ensures product origin, quality, and production process.

Bolsonaro advocates for WTO reform at G20 Summit
