São Paulo – Palestinian National Authority president Mahmoud Abbas said this Thursday (22) in his address at the United Nations General Assembly that no peace can come unless Israel freezes its settlements in Palestinian territories.
“There is no way to defeat terrorism and extremism, no way to achieve security and stability in our region without ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine and ensuring the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people,” said Abbas, adding that his hands “remain outstretched for making peace.”
