São Paulo – From January 18th to 25th, the United Arab Emirates are hosting the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The highlight of the program is the World Future Energy Summit, which will focus on renewable energy projects worth a combined US$ 8 billion in investment.
Held by Abu Dhabi’s sustainable development holding company Masdar, the Future Energy Summit will be attended by global leaders, public policymakers, specialists and public and private investors, who will discuss solutions to the energy challenges that the future holds.
Exhibitors will include companies from countries such as Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the United States, South Africa, North Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Canada and Colombia.
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will host other meetings, such as the Global Water Summit, on the use of hydric resources in dry regions; EcoWaste, on the challenges of residue management in the Middle East; the 4th International Energy Agency Assembly; and the Renewable Energy Jobs Conference.
The emirate is expecting 30,000 visitors during the sustainability week. The activities should feature 800 exhibitors from 40 countries and 250 specialized speakers.
