Acre, in northern Brazil, is recognized as foot and moth free zone through vaccination
The international status was obtained at the last World Organization for Animal Health meeting in Paris, which ended at the end of last week. This recognition is going to open a gateway into the foreign market for beef produced in the state. Acre slaughters around 300,000 heads of cattle a year.
