São Paulo – Three national teams from Arab countries have reached the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations being held in Morocco. The next round starts this Friday (9), and the final will take place on January 18 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
In addition to the Arab teams Morocco, Egypt, and Algeria—all from North Africa—Mali, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast also remain in contention and will play in the quarterfinals.
The first match of this stage is between Mali and Senegal on Friday at 4:00 pm GMT in Tangier. Morocco and Cameroon face each other later that day at 7:00 pm GMT in Rabat. On Saturday (10), Algeria plays Nigeria in Marrakesh at 4:00 pm GMT. On the same day, Egypt takes on Ivory Coast in Agadir at 7:00 pm GMT.
