São Paulo – Agribusiness exports from Brazil fetched USD 8.21 billion in November, up 1% from November 2018, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply reported this Tuesday (10). Shipped volume was up 6%, while average price slid 4.7%.
Meat exports were up 22.1% year-on-year to USD 1.56 billion, driven by China, whose meat imports from Brazil came out to USD 686 million in November.
Exports also soared in November for maize (13.7%), cotton (12.3%) and orange juice (174.4%).
Year-to-date through November, agribusiness exports from Brazil grossed USD 89.33 billion, down 3.7% year-on-year.
