São Paulo – From October 18 to 21, Algeria will host the fourth edition of the Algerian Export Salon, in Algiers. The event aims to showcase the country’s non-oil and gas products and services, and will be held parallel to the 21st Fair of Algerian Production, which targets local exhibitors only.
According to the Algerian Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (Algex), the salon is targeted at professionals and will have business matchmaking rounds from October 19 to 21.
Foreign businessmen, including Brazilians interested in seeing Algerian products, may download the entry form from site www.algex.dz and send them to the email addresses below. The entry deadline is October 4.
According to information from the Algerian Ministry of Trade, more than 97% of the country’s exports consist of oil and gas industry products. Last year, the main items outside of these were oils and other by-products of tar distillation, anhydrous ammonia, cane or beet sugar, calcium phosphate, acyclic alcohols, hydrogen and rare gases, raw zinc, water, tanned skins and ice, according to the ministry.
