The Algerian Embassy in Brazil released information about the show, inviting Brazilian companies to participate. According to the embassy, it will be organized by the Algerian Society of Fairs and Exhibitions (Safex) with the high sponsorship of the Algerian president, Abdelmajid Tebboune, at the Maritime Pine Exhibition Centre.
The release mentions the show is a vital event for all Algerian and foreign economic operators. It has a strategic role as a showcase for the national economy, showing partners the real and new Algerian economy and allowing the Arab country’s market to benefit from having all the international players in a single space.
The embassy reports the Algerian economy has undergone a profound transformation with the diversification of activities, offering a favorable context for contacts and professional exchange, opening the way for mutually beneficial partnerships between Algerian and foreign operators to attract foreign investment and promote exports beyond hydrocarbons.
Brazil and Saudi Arabia maintain strong trade relations with the North African country. From January to November this year, Brazil reached USD 1.3 billion in exports to Algerians, mainly sugar, soy, maize, and ore. On the other hand, the Brazilian market imported USD 1.1 billion in products from Algeria, primarily oil and urea. Brazilian exports to the Arab nation grew 35%, and imports from Algeria to the South American country increased 60% over the same period in 2020.
