São Paulo – Aluminum alloy was Bahrain’s top non-oil export in the fourth quarter of last year Bahrain’s state news agency BNA reported.
Exports of unwrought aluminum alloys generated revenue of BHD 306 million, equivalent to USD 807 million at the current rate, accounting for 29% of exports from October to December. Other top exports were agglomerated iron ores and concentrates, with BHD 137 million (USD 361 million), and unalloyed aluminum wire, with BHD 63 million (USD 166 million).
In total, Bahrain earned BHD 1.047 billion (USD 2.7 billion) from non-oil exports in the fourth quarter of last year, a 5% increase over the same period in 2024. The leading foreign markets for these products were Saudi Arabia at 24% of the total, the United Arab Emirates at 9.5%, and the United States at 8.7%. The figures exclude re-exports and reflect only domestic production.
Despite the rise in exports, Bahrain recorded a deficit in its non-oil trade balance in the fourth quarter of 2025, as imports exceeded exports. The negative balance was BHD 355 million (USD 936 million), up from a BHD 277 million (USD 730.5 million) deficit in the same period in 2024.
