São Paulo – Amazon has released over 12,000 titles in Arabic on its Kindle app and devices, finally catering to demand from hundreds of millions of readers in Arab countries, it said in an official statement this Tuesday (26). The books can be purchased on Amazon website around the world, Brazil included.
Books by famous authors are now available, including Egypt’s Naguib Mahfouz; Ibrahim Nasrallah, with his prize-winning “The Second War of the Dog.” Translations into Arabic of popular English books like “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” are also available.
Arab authors can also publish Kindle books in Arabic by using Kindle Direct Publishing, a tool allowing writers to upload their e-books and easily reach out to millions of readers around the world.
