São Paulo – The new ANBA site is going on air on Monday (25). In the year of its 10th anniversary, the Brazil-Arab News Agency will get a completely restyled site, more modern, beautiful and easier to navigate. The innovation is not only in the form, but also in the content, with new sections, always aimed at promoting the exchange of information with Brazilians and Arabs. The site will go on air on the National Day of the Arab Community.
“It has new dynamics and is progress in a very important tool for companies, public and private organisations, as well as the press itself. It will play a greater part in the communication between the Arab Brazilian Chamber and its audience,” said the CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby. ANBA belongs to the organisation.
Among the news is section ANBA in the World Cup, to have articles on economics and business connected to the 2014 World Cup. On Monday, an article by Marcos Carrieri will discuss the legacy that the competition may leave for Brazil.
Also new is section Arabianas, with short articles about economics, business and other themes published in the Arab press. It is worth recalling that ANBA has partnerships with seven news agencies in the Middle East and North Africa. In the English version of the site, the column will be called Braziliana and will include similar content, but about Brazil.
The agency will also start publishing a calendar with events promoted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber and other organisations and that may be of interest to the reader, like courses, seminars and exhibitions.
The Oriente-se section, in turn, which shows content regarding Arab culture will also start being published in English, entitled Al Sharq, which means “East” in Arabic, transliterated into English.
The ANBA home page should become more dynamic, with more images, alternating headlines, more news and access to the agency’s channels on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The articles published will automatically be shared on social networks. The chances to attach multimedia content to the texts has also been increased, including photographs, videos, audio, graphs and documents.
Apart from the material on the Cup, ANBA’s first edition under the new layout will include a series of special articles, including an exclusive interview with vice president Michel Temer, who will be honoured by the Arab Brazilian Chamber at a dinner on the 25th, profiles of Arab descendants who are in the vanguard in their areas of operation in Brazil, the story of the beneficent societies maintained by the Arab colony in São Paulo, an analysis of trade between Brazil and the Middle East and North Africa from 1989 to date, a profile of Jeddah, the trade hub in Saudi Arabia and a gateway for many pilgrims, a visit to Al Ain, the crib of tradition in the United Arab Emirates, a story about the presence of Arabic literature in the Brazilian editorial market and the case of small Brazilian companies that export to the Arab world.
All of this starts on Monday morning, at www2.anba.com.br. Due to the migration to the new site, on Sunday (24) no new content will be published.
