São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations from Brazilian food and beverage companies interested in participating in the 24th Gulfood, the largest fair of the sector in the Middle East, from February 17 to 21 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The offer is exclusive to companies associated to the Arab Chamber, and registrations may be filed until January 24 contacting the Commercial Department of the entity (information below). Availability is limited.
According to the Gulfood organization, more than 98,000 visitors from all over the world and more than 5,000 exhibiting companies are expected. The event’s theme will be “The World of Good. The World of Food,” and will address consumer trends, innovation, business opportunities, and new flavors.
In 2018, Brazil exported USD 7.7 billion in food and beverage to the 22 Arab countries – if considered as a bloc, it is the second largest international consumer of this Brazilian sector after China. For the United Arab Emirates only, sales totaled USD 1.23 billion. The Brazilian food products most consumed by the Arabs are soy, sugar, poultry, beef, coffee, and corn.
The Arab Chamber’s pavilion at Gulfood is 355 square feet (in the picture, the 2018 stand). Besides the stand space with physical structure, visual communication of each brand and receptionists, the participating companies will have the entity’s support for business relationship and translation support.
