São Paulo – Executives at the international office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, visited the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday (27) to discuss a rapprochement between companies in Brazil and the emirate. Ras Al Khaimah is one of the country’s seven emirates, along with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain.
The head of the ABCC’s office in Dubai, Rafael Solimeo, and the advisor for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Iraq and Yemen of the institution, Shaheen Ali Shaheen, were received by the president of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, and by the interim director-general of the organization, Mohammed Hasan Alsabab Al Teneiji, at the headquarters of the Arab institution. Representatives of the emirate have already been to Brazil, where an event was held to present the local free trade zone to Brazilian companies. The idea is to continue this initiative, according to Solimeo. The executive informed there is a desire for a new trip to Brazil as soon as the pandemic allows. The local Chamber is open to receive Brazilian missions and support them in business with the emirate and the initiatives of the ABCC.
The executives at the ABCC presented the Dubai office and its activities, which are not restricted to the head office’s emirate, also occurring throughout the country. “We understand that the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is fundamental because of its economic characteristics and because it has a lot of space for companies,” he told ANBA. “We would like to have more companies from Brazil in Ras Al Khaimah and more companies from Ras Al Khaimah in Brazil,” said Solimeo.
